We’re back for Fall Storytime—and we’re starting the season with a dance party! Join us as we groove, giggle, and get ready for a whole season of movement, stories, and togetherness. This is the perfect time to make new friends, explore the library, and celebrate the joy of reading.
During the event, we’ll be registering all our little friends for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, our year-round reading program. The concept is simple, but the rewards are priceless: read any book to your newborn, infant, or toddler, and aim to reach 1,000 books before they start kindergarten. Every book counts toward building a lifelong love of reading—so let’s get started together! All are welcome! You do not have to be a South Holland resident to participate.
Parents or legal guardians can also sign up their little ones (ages 0–5) for a South Holland Public Library card during the party. Must be a South Holland resident to receive a SHPL card. First time library cards will receive a free lanyard!
Groups larger than 5 kids need to call ahead first and speak to Miss Rosie.
